Horseback Riding

Campers of all skill levels learn Western and English riding styles, connect with their horses, and build confidence in a fun, supportive environment. From basic horsemanship to advanced activities like polocrosse and jumping, campers at every level can learn and be challenged.

Horseback riding offers a unique opportunity for boys to connect with these majestic animals while mastering both Western and English riding styles.

Campers of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced riders, learn essential horsemanship skills, including grooming, tacking, and untacking, as well as basic riding techniques. With an emphasis on care and respect for the horses, campers develop a sense of responsibility and pride in their growing abilities.

For those ready to take their skills further, the program offers specialized opportunities in English jumping, polocrosse, and rodeo activities. Under the expert guidance of seasoned instructors, like Jeeper Ragsdale, campers can refine their riding and teamwork skills in advanced settings. Whether performing in a synchronized quadrille or learning to jump with grace and precision, these activities challenge boys to reach new heights in their riding journey.

Each riding session is tailored to the camper’s skill level, ensuring growth and confidence at every step. Small group sizes and individualized instruction foster a supportive environment where campers are encouraged to try new skills, overcome challenges, and celebrate their successes. Whether exploring the trails or excelling in the arena, horseback riding at camp creates unforgettable memories and builds lifelong skills.
